That's beautiful! Is the T-56 the stock JK unit? What T-Case, any adapters? What harness?

Thx. Stock Jeep 6spd (NSG-370) would not have the input torque rating to live behind an LS1, NP241 tcase might be ok but if I were running 4wd I would have used an nv4500 or GM ZF-650
Harness is custom.

Where did the alternator bracket & the PS pump brackets come from, I think I need the exact same thing.
Thanks

Yes - Bomber Fab a Friend.... Randy Slawson <Randy@pirate4x4.com>

Yes - and all are welcome to their opinions.... May upset some, but I love the LSX engine architecture and I'm not a coupe/car guy. I've owned and mod'd all sorts of vehicles and I love open top Jeeps

I needed a vehicle for down in Florida to cruise the beach, throw surf gear..etc into and have fun with so I figure why not. As you all know: so many people buy 4x4's and never even engage 4wd... With a detroit truetrac (torsen-type) LSD it will go anywhere I need it to and will be an absolute blast to drive.

I may put a trophy truck type IFS with long travel coilovers for phase II or I can swap in D60's front and rear with a zf 4x4 6spd... If I relocate the Jeep back to Maine... I firmly believe in building what you want and what you'll use. Also with gas going to $4.00/gal - I think I can achieve 20mpg with JK... fun to blow the doors off Accords and get close to as good mileage.

Recent - TJ build, Fox coilovers, custom 4x2x3/16 tube chassis...locked front/rear

Hey, I'm the last person you need to preach to about a street only Jeep!

If it were me and for beach use, I'd be really inclined to make it 4wd. How embarassing would it be to get stuck on the beach? It still would SCREAM! If the front axle has a pumpkin anyway you're already carrying that around. You would have the added weight of a TCase. You might have to trim the transmission requirements because of overall length. I can't think the fuel savings would be that big and Imagine the 4 wheel burnouts!

No doubt about it, your opinion is the only one that matters in the end, cuz it ain't mine. It's a very cool project.
